Tektronix 222 Battery Charger – Introduction
The Tektronix 222 and its variants (such as the Tektronix 224, 222A, and 222PS) had a sealed lead-acid (SLA) battery (P/N 146-0075-00) as original equipment. Unfortunately, no one makes replacements for these SLA batteries any more. They have been unavailable for quite a long time. In addition, there are few (if any) currently available SLA batteries that will fit in the scope. As a result, there is a need for a modern, readily available replacement for the original equipment battery. Enter the Tektronix 222 Battery Adapter Kit!
Tektronix 222 Battery Charger – Kit Description
The battery adapter kit replaces the original equipment battery with up to three readily available 18650 rechargeable lithium batteries. Conveniently, you do not have to modify the scope to make use of the kit (other than to remove the original 146-0075-00 SLA battery). Because the kit provides both charging and protection circuitry, you can use either protected or unprotected 18650 cells.
